Rules

How every coin runs.

The server enforces exactly these rules. The numbers on this page come from the same file the launcher uses.

01

Starting a coin

You pick a name, ticker and image and pay 0.1 SOL to the coin's own pot address. That address is unique to the coin and shown on its page, so anyone can audit every deposit on Solscan. The start fee pays the pool and mint rent, and what's left goes to Whistle once the coin is finished. If the whistle doesn't blow, it's kept too, which keeps the board free of spam.

You can chip in with the same payment. You get the same cap and the same price as everyone else. There is no dev allocation, no reserved supply and no head start.

02

Nothing to snipe

The coin's mint address is derived on the server from a secret and the coin's id. Nobody sees it before the whistle, the starter included. The Raydium LaunchLab pool doesn't exist until the whistle transaction creates it, and that same transaction spends the whole pot on the first buy. There is no block before it, so there is nothing for a sniper or a bundle to get in front of.

Bots can still buy one block later, at a higher price than the squad paid. That's the point: the squad is first, together.

03

The muster

The muster lasts 10 minutes from the block the start fee landed in. Anyone can send between 0.01 and 0.5 SOL. Each wallet pays 0.0025 SOL once, which opens its token account and pays the delivery.

There is no rush. When the pot is over 10 SOL, every commit is scaled down by the same factor and the rest goes back. Minute one and minute nine get the same deal.

Anything that lands after the deadline is refunded in full automatically, as is anything sent to a coin that already launched.

04

Linked wallets

When the muster closes, every wallet in the pot is traced: its recent SOL transfers in and out. Two wallets are linked if one sent SOL to the other, or if both were funded by the same wallet and that wallet isn't a busy hub such as an exchange. Pot addresses of other Whistle coins never count as a link.

Linked wallets share one 0.5 SOL cap, split pro rata, and count as one wallet toward the minimum. Every link is shown on the coin page. Splitting a bag across fresh wallets buys nothing extra.

05

The whistle

The whistle blows if the pot has at least 5 unlinked wallets and 1 SOL. Otherwise every commit is refunded in full.

One transaction creates the coin: 1,000,000,000 supply, no mint or freeze authority, 793,100,000 on the bonding curve, graduating to a Raydium CPMM pool at 85 SOL raised. It buys with the whole pot in the same instruction list. Within about a minute every wallet receives its tokens, split exactly by what it put in, so everyone in the pot paid the same price. Refunds for anything over a cap go out in the same transactions.

06

Fees

Every trade on the curve pays Raydium 0.25%, Whistle 0.5% and the coin itself 0.5%. The coin's share is a LaunchLab creator fee paid into that coin's own pot address, so each coin's fees are kept apart on-chain. At graduation the coin moves to a Raydium CPMM pool and all of its liquidity tokens are burned, so the liquidity can never be pulled. Squad payouts come from trading on the bonding curve.

Every 6 hours the coin's fees are claimed and paid out in SOL. Two thirds go to the squad, weighted by tokens still held, counted up to what each wallet received at the whistle. One third goes to the starter, but only while the starter still holds their whole allotment. If the starter sells, their third goes to the squad. Nothing to claim, nothing to sign.

07

Vamps

From the moment a coin opens until 72 hours after it launches, its ticker, its name (ignoring case, spaces and symbols) and its launch tweet are locked on Whistle. Tickers that only look alike (P3PE and PEPE) are allowed but flagged on the coin page. This covers Whistle only; nobody can stop a copy on another launchpad.

08

What this doesn't do

It doesn't make a coin go up. Anyone, the squad and the starter included, can sell at any time, and price can go to zero. The wallet trace catches simple sybils, not determined ones. Fee payouts grow and shrink with volume and no amount is promised.
